Detailed Description of 2 days Birding Trip.



Day 1……. Pick-up at location given – Birding in Ankasa Rain Forest.


You`ll be Picked-Up by your expert Birding Guide at the location given, you will visit Ankasa Rain Forest, to bird the most exciting Birdwatching Destinations in Ghana.

Ankasa is one of the most biologically rich habitats in Africa and believed to protect Ghana’s only remaining population of Chimpanzee.

You hope to seeUpper Guinea Endemic’s like White Breasted Guineafowl, Yellow Bearded Greenbul, Copper Tailed Starling, Green Tailed Bristlebil and Rufous Winged Illadopsis, in addition to more gem’s like Africa’s rarest Kingfisher the White Bellied and Shining Blue, Yellow Casqued Hornbill, Great Blue Turaco, Hartlaubs Duck, African Finfoot, White Crested Tiger Heron and Dwarf Bittern are there to wet the appetite. Bird in Ankasa Forest for Tropical Rainforest Birds and Upper Guinea Endemics like red-billed dwarf hornbill, olive long-tailed and dusky long-tailed cuckoo, great blue turaco, white-throated greenbul, rufous-winged illadopsis, rufous-sided broadbill, shining drongo, forest robin, red-fronted antpecker, red-headed quelea, as well as armelite and Reichenbach’s sunbird.

You will also see white-browed forest flycatcher, red-chested owlet, common cuckoo, grey-throated rail, crested guineafowl, yellow-bearded greenbul, western bearded greenbul, African pygmy goose, blackcap illadopsis, Congo serpent eagle, European honey buzzard, red-billed helmetshrike, buff-spotted and fire-bellied woodpecker, African emerald cuckoo, Cassin’s spinetail, square-tailed saw-wing.
